Physiotherapy for people with complex and multiple learning disabilities can help to protect body shape and avoid the previously though 'inevitable' deformities. This can then have a positive consequence on function and health. Physiotherapy can reduce chest infection rates, improve posture and comfort as well as protecting skin integrity. Sian can also help with seating and sleeping arrangements, assist in hydrotherapy and rebound therapy treatment plans too.

The Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) can also provide information about physiotherapy. This is a professional body but it is not essential for all physiotherapists to be a member. To be a Chartered Physiotherapist you must be a CSP member. They can provide you with a range of information about conditions and the profession.
